PRIVACY POLICY

Your privacy, in plain English

LAST UPDATED · JULY 2026

The short version

Checking your flight needs no personal information at all — no name, no email, no booking reference. Everything you pick in the calculator stays in your browser and is never sent to us or stored anywhere.

What we collect when you use the checker

Nothing that identifies you. The six dropdown answers you give are used in your browser to calculate a verdict and are never transmitted. We deliberately don’t ask for the details that would make a claim personal — those only ever go to the airline or a claims partner, if you choose to take the next step.

Analytics

This version of the site runs no analytics and sets no first-party tracking cookies. There are no accounts and no database of users. If we ever add privacy-friendly, aggregate analytics, we’ll update this page first.

Advertising & affiliate links

Ad slots are currently labelled placeholders and set no cookies. If we enable Google AdSense later, it may set cookies to serve and measure ads, and we’ll update this page. Some links to claim services are affiliate links: if you claim through a partner we may earn a commission, at no extra cost to you. This never changes our estimate or your payout.

When you choose to claim

If you decide to pursue a claim, you may be handed off to a third-party claims partner or to the airline. At that point you deal with them directly, under their own terms and privacy policies. We don’t pass them any personal data — we don’t hold any.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or erase personal data an organisation holds about you. Because Owedly holds no personal data from the checker, there’s little to request — but if you’ve emailed us, you can ask us to delete that correspondence at any time.
